About Sajit

My name is Sam. I am Sajit's father and his full-time carer.
Sajit is a teenager living with severe autism, ADHD and an intellectual disability. He is non-verbal, and he needs constant supervision and around-the-clock care.
As Sajit has grown, he has outgrown our suburban home. Our goal is to purchase a rural acreage property that offers more space, greater safety, reduced environmental stress, privacy, secure outdoor access, and room for therapy, recreation and a playground designed around Sajit — a peaceful place where he can safely be active.
We believe Sajit experienced significant regression following difficult experiences at school and a prolonged, undiagnosed wisdom-tooth infection. Since then he has become increasingly isolated and has not comfortably left the family home for an extended period.
Caring for Sajit has required enormous sacrifices. His siblings temporarily moved to live with their grandmother so they could enjoy greater safety and freedom while I continued providing full-time care. One of our greatest hopes is to bring everyone back together on one property.
Daily Life
We share these honestly — not for sympathy, but so you understand why a safer home matters so much.
Sajit requires continuous supervision for his own safety, around the clock.
As a non-verbal teenager, Sajit communicates without words, which can lead to frustration.
At times Sajit engages in self-injurious behaviours that need gentle, careful support.
Sajit may consume non-food items, so his environment must be carefully managed.
Repetitive behaviours mean Sajit needs private, secure outdoor areas.
Ongoing therapy and a calm environment help Sajit feel safe.

Thank you for being here. We've opened our campaign to help build a safe, calming home where Sajit can grow and our family can be together again. We'll share honest updates here as we go.

A letter from Sam
To everyone who has taken the time to read our story,
Thank you. I'm Sajit's dad, and I care for him full-time. Our days are not always easy, and asking for help has not been easy either. But I would do anything to give my son a safe and peaceful place to live.
Sajit doesn't speak, but he feels everything deeply. A calmer home — with space, privacy and a secure place to be outdoors — would change his life. It would also help us begin to bring our family back together.
I'm grateful for every single contribution, no matter the size. Thank you for seeing Sajit, and for standing with our family.
